An overview of initial public offerings: process, actors involved and trade off­‐analysis. The issue of operating performances post-IPO: the accounting approach and the most important empirical evidences. The long run market performances of IPO firms: the event time approach and empirical evidences provided by academic literature. An empirical analysis of long run IPO’s performances: evidences from Italian firms listed in the period (1997-2008).
