Abstract/Index
This work attempts to define the EU legal Order through an innovative approach that, taking into account both the legal framework and the political practice, focuses on the strong relationship between Member States’ legislative branches. The fundamental point of this work lies in the analysis of the long process that led the member States to accept the transfer of foreign and criminal expertise to supranational institutions. The principle of subsidiarity is the instrument through that the transfer of sovereignty is justified, thus enabling the distribution of competences between the member States and the European Union.
