The European Union and the interest representation the decision-making process of the EU institutions: an overview across the principles laid down by the EU treaties. European institutions and the interest representation: lobbying, decision-making procedures and rules applicable to officials of the European Union. Interest group representation and the need for an exhaustive EU set of rules for lobbyists. Rights, duties and the quest for transparency. An analysis of the current "de facto mandatory" framework of rules. Future developments in governing interest representation: the proposal for a mandatory transparency register and the perspectives for a law-based registration system.
