Abstract/Index

The origins of the "purely internal" rule in the EU legal order and its role in limiting the right to family reunification. The traditional approach of the Court of justice: a rigorous application of the purely internal rule: developing the linking factors test. The new attitude of the Court of justice in purely internal situations: towards a more lenient approach. The Court justice and the "genuine enjoyment" test: astablishing an alternative to the traditional cross-border element analysis.
