Analysis of the legislation on refugee status in the European Union legal system. Exceptions to the obligation of non-refoulement and the notion of "acts contrary to the purposes and principles of the united nations". Analysis of the questions referred for a preliminary ruling by the Belgian conseil d'état to the European Court of justice. The parties’ conclusions and the content of the judgement delivered by the grand chamber of the Court of justice of the European Union, 31 january 2017, case C-573/14.
