Global warming and the international commitment. 1992 United Nations framework convention on climate change: scope of action and modus operandi. First milestone towards cooperation within the convention: 1997 Kyoto protocol. The significance of subsidies within the WTO rules and regulations. Distorting and balancing effects of subsidies in the market: agreement on trade related investment measures. Balance between States’ climate change mitigation goals and WTO law.
