Globalisation led populism. Characters of populism. Analysis of the relationship between the growing disenfranchisement of the average citizen and the increase of "populism". Mediatisation of politics. Growth of media involvement in all aspects of life and its undeniable role in politics: clear role of social media importance in political results (Russian bots US election) and (Cambridge analytica scandal).
