Evolution of human rights’ protection and interplay in the European legal framework. Setting the stage: detention, refoulement and borders. The European legal framework: obligations and provisions. Arbitrary detention and restriction of liberty: treaty law and primary sources of law. Arbitrary detention and restriction of liberty: secondary sources of law.
