Overview of the situation in Ukraine. General context of Ukraine and its relations with Russia. The escalation of the current conflict: causes and timeline. Violations of human rights and war crimes in the first months of war. International humanitarian law (IHL). The legal framework of accountability: international humanitarian law and international human rights law. Alleged violations of IHL in the Russia-Ukraine conflict to date.
