A complete frame of personal data in the digital era. The concept of privacy and personal data: origins and definitions. OSINT and the stream of data. Legislative responses from diverse geographies. Social engineering: typology and evolution. Origins and definitions of the phenomenon. Typologies of attacks and prevention from them. Future perspectives of this phenomenon. The contribution of the oversharing of personal data on the effectiveness of the social engineering. Causes of the stream of personal data on platforms and the relationships with the social engineering. Survey regarding the awareness of the phenomenon among people and the perception of the risks. Development of a platform to mitigate data oversharing on social media through user-cyber education and awareness about the risks. Comprehensive research methodology employed for the development of the cyber-education platform. Design and architecture of a user-centric platform for cyber-education and data protection awareness.
