Responding to SEA by un personnel: the UN in difficulty. Criminal liability before domestic courts: barriers to the accountability of perpetrators of SEA. Criminal liability on the international plane. Accountability without criminal liability. Structure of the work and methodology. Who answers for UN personnel crimes? A two-fold analysis. Mapping the responsibility of the UN. Considering the engagement of States: which States and how can they act to enhance accountability? Does immunity prevent accountability? Immunity of the United Nations as an organization. Immunity of the un personnel. Preventing immunity from becoming impunity. Responding to allegations of SEA: between ambitious discourses and low number of State-led investigations and trials.
