Literature review. The historical context of ‘special state powers’: from golden shares to golden powers. The legal framework regulating special state powers in the EU. Conceptual framework of Open strategic autonomy (OSA). The CJEU case law on golden shares: from restricting market distortions to addressing golden powers. Identifying the research gap. Theoretical framework and methodology. Integration of the OSA with the principles of the EU internal market. Methodology.
