Abstract/Index

International institutions: origins steeped in blood and good intentions. The state of the world at the end of world war II: international organizations amidst the colonial empires of Western powers. Where do values fit in: Western justification and the neo-liberal agenda. The West vs the rest of the world: the academic debates shaking the status quo throughout the 20th and 21st centuries. The evolution of international relations to include the non-Western perspective: putting the notions of race and gender to the forefront of the discussion. The analysis of international institutions and slow, progressive intake of non-Western perspectives, a brief chronological review of the literature. With great power comes more… power. Case study: how international organizations have handled Ukraine and Palestine, a comparison. tumultuous history fraught with international interference and Western influence. 2022/2023 vs. 2024: from initial reactions within the geopolitical landscape to the witnessed escalations.
