1960s–1970s: post-colonialism’s liminal phase, a transition from colonial subjugation to a self-defined nationhood. The dual nature of liberation: the exhilaration of revolution tempered by the pragmatism required for governance. The seeds of anarchism: between revolutionary idealism and authoritarian reality. Active diplomacy and pan-African influence: Algeria as a beacon of liberation. 1970s–1990s: Algeria, a fragile State struggling to position on the international scene.
