A conceptual and comparative framework: political religion and “sacralisation of politics”. Emilio Gentile’s theory of the sacralisation of politics. Media, ritual and the manufacture of mythic authority in modern political systems. Comparative positioning: fascist Italy within interwar regimes. Istituto LUCE as state media infrastructure in the 1920s–30s. Institutional origins, mandates and integration into the fascist state.
