Abstract/Index

This paper analyzes the concept of welfare and it investigates new indicators to measure human well being, focusing on the welfare measure created by C.I. Jones and P.J. Klenow. Then the role of human capital is described. The objective of this paper is to find out if there is any relationship between human capital and welfare growth measured by Jones’s new indicator. This relationship is studied making an empirical analysis, computing several regressions.
