What is the metaverse? The Covid-19 pandemic. Dematerialisation of purchases and new customer habits. A new paradigm shift toward something "real". Games and new forms of entertainment. NFTS, blockchain and cryptocurrencies. Co-creation of value: from brand management literature to virtual environments. A technology acceptance model of the metaverse platform through hedonic prospects. Inspiration from the escapism of leaving behind the appearances of the real world. Focus on inviduality, from socio-cultural context to instrument of self-expression and mental well-being. The importance of communities for inclusiveness and connecting with others.
