An introduction to venture capital. A brief history of venture capital. Why is there more competition between VC firms today? What do venture capital do? The portfolio acceleration and support strategies. Case study 1: Andreessen Horowitz, the agency model with an operating team. Case study 2: Kima Ventures, the “super angel” organized as a VC, investing in 2 startups per week and building a platform to support their 750+ portfolio companies. Case study 3: eFounders, the startup studio launching 6 companies per year.
