Abstract/Index

Conceptual framework: literature review. Factors justifying a priori high valuation levels. Risks associated with FinTech and the challenges of observed valuation levels. Methodology of the empirical part. Research questions. Methodology. Results and answers to research questions. FinTech benefited from a favorable macroeconomic and competitive environment, which stimulated investor appetite. However, many investors, in the race for the "unicorn", invested without a critical and experienced eye for the companies they were analyzing. Many companies have been overvalued, given their fundamentals. These factors have fueled a form of speculative bubble that is now bursting. Discussion of answers to research questions.
